IUT Library organized a demonstration session (Phase- 1) on Turnitin Originality check on Thursday, 17 October 2024, at 01:50 PM in the Library Distance Learning Theatre (DLT). Faculty members of different departments, junior lecturers, Lecturers, Assistant Professors, and professors attended the lively demonstration session. IUT has been subscribing to Turnitin Similarity products since August 2020 with the initiative of REASP. Recently, IUT upgraded the subscription to Turnitin Originality. Turnitin Administrator and Deputy Librarian of IUT, Mr. Md. Ahasan Habib, and Assistant Cataloguer Mr. Md. Liton Ali conducted the session.
The demonstration session covered the instructor's role, checking similarity with AI, creating assignments, settings, preferences, etc. Later, the library shared the user-friendly manual with the faculty members.
